Well-child visits are scheduled when your child is healthy. These visits are used to prevent illnesses by receiving scheduled vaccinations, tracking growth and development and addressing any parental concerns. During a comprehensive well visit, your child’s interim history will be reviewed. Feeding, sleeping, and developmental milestones are typically discussed as well.
SCHEDULE OF WELL-CHILD VISITS
- The first-week visit (3 to 5 days old)
- 1 month old
- 2 months old
- 4 months old
- 6 months old
- 9 months old
- 12 months old
- 15 months old
- 18 months old
- 2 years old (24 months)
- 2 ½ years old (30 months)
- 3 years old
- Then every year after 3 years old

Wellness Check-Ups to Age 18
You should make sure that you take your child to their provider’s office for regular checkups. Although they may feel fine at the time, regular checkups allow you to avoid problems in the future.
Well Check-Ups to Age 21 for Patients with Disabilities
If your child has a disability, you should make sure that you take them for good checkups. These checkups allow doctors to monitor your child’s development and catch potential issues early.
